School Artwork

So this is from a conversation Kim and I had a bit ago but I recently pulled down the box I was storing Marisa's pre-school artwork in and thought this was a good opportunity for a visual (see photo 1). What I have done for each preschool year is to create a book highlighting some of her masterpieces. I usually only put about 10 items in and laminate them together making about 5 pages. I then punch holes in the laminated pages and tie them with ribbon or fibers (see photo 2 & 3). When she was in her 3rd year of preschool I started having her hold up her masterpieces in front of the fridge with more of her artwork displayed behind her. Then I created a layout as part of her school album with this picture (see photo 4). The only problem with this whole process so far is the box I am storing the artbooks and artwork in. It's just a regular cardboard box with stickers Marisa put all over it. It's so unattractive. I need to find something cuter and more practical but the size of the box is the issue - has to be big enough to handle those over sized art pieces that I kept along with the artbooks. Any ideas? Also, my big confession - I obviously have not kept every single item from pre-school nor am I keeping each from Kindergarten. I just had to confess that.

My small scrap space

I don't know why I'm even posting pics of my scrap space - maybe to inspire me to improve it. I have a very small room to scrap in that also operates as my office for work and for doing the bills. With putting the house on the market the walls were to be left bare and the room sparse (for staging). Now that we have put off selling the house I think one of my projects will be to improve this space to be more of a creative outlet. All in due time, right?
